AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS HAVE NOW FINISHED UNTIL THE AUTUMN TERM

Dear Parents,

I’d like to say a big thank you to the PTFA for hosting a fantastic Summer Fayre and raising an incredible £2600. It was great to see so many of you there supporting our school community.

Some of you have raised your concerns that photos were allowed. As a public event it is expected that photos can be taken and as a responsible school community with people respecting each other; this was supported by school. School events i.e. not public events, will continue to have a ‘no photos policy’ so that we can be inclusive of all children.

The main difference at a school event is that the children are in our care and therefore the welfare of the children is our responsibility however at public events for example, the fayre, children are the responsibility of their parent/carer.

End of Year Reports– These will come home with children on Monday of next week. They are addressed to parents so it should not have been opened! We do have a comment slip on the end of the letter and ask that this please be returned with or without feedback, as this is the proof for us that the report did indeed reach you safely! Thank you.

Tennis ClubWill still be on next Friday, 14th July.

A note from the Chair of Governors – Please may I remind parents that all monies for dinners, breakfast and after school club should be paid in advance of the booking. Unfortunately with reducing school budgets we are no longer able to support shortfalls in any income. For those who consistently fail to clear their debts, legal action will be considered. Thank you for your co-operation.

Year 6 – It is very important that you clear all debit balances by Friday 14th July (dinners can be paid in advance for the last week of term). Thank you

Years 3/4 Tri Golf Tournament at Bath University – Well done to all of the children who took part in the tri golf tournament on Wednesday. They all played well especially considering the hot weather! The children’s behaviour was impeccable; they were a real credit to the school.

Please Note: From September we will no longer be selling drinks at lunchtime, this is to encourage healthy living. Please do not bring in fruit drinks from home. Water will of course be provided at lunchtime. Every child should have their water bottle in school every day.

Mrs Hartland Smith Farewell Picnic – Parents are invited to bring along a little picnic to share with their child/children at 2:30pm on Wednesday 19th July to say a fond farewell to Mrs Hartland Smith. Weather permitting we will be on the field.

Dance Club – This will still be on next Wednesday 12th July as the children will be having their party!

Please Note: At 9:15am in the morning (Wednesday 12th July) parents are invited to come and watch the children perform the dances they were due to perform at the playhouse.

Vacancies:

·         We are looking to recruit a lunchtime supervisor. If you are interested please ask at the school office for further information and an application form.

·         We are looking to recruit a cleaner to work 12 ½ hours week ALL year round (3:30-6pm) daily. If you are interested in this position please ask the school office for further information and an application form.

Top Table - This week Hayley, Toby, Gregory, Lauren, Macey and Jack (from Raven class) have been chosen by the lunchtime supervisors to join the ‘Top Table’ for having super behaviour, good manners and using their cutlery well (if they have hot dinners). Well done everyone!
