Re: CONVERSION TO ACADEMY STATUS

As you are aware our governing body submitted an application to the Regional Schools Commissioner on 20th February 2017 to convert to an academy and form a local Multi Academy Trust (MAT).

As part of this process, the Governing Body consulted parents, staff and other interested parties.  

I am very pleased to inform you that on the 9th October 2017, Susan Phillips, Regional Schools Commissioner, South West, wrote to the Chair of Governors enclosing an Academy Order which enables the school to convert to an academy and join the ELAN MAT. We are delighted by this news and we have already begun the legal process of conversion to ensure a smooth transition towards a Multi Academy Trust.

We will of course keep you fully informed of developments.
