2nd February 2018

Dear Parents/Carers,

We received the news this week that as of February 1st 2018 we have transferred into an Academy. We are now part of the Extend Learning Academy Network (ELAN), along with Oldmixon, Walliscote, Locking, Windwhistle, Bournville and Milton Primary Schools. To find out more visit the following website:

This is a momentous time for Mead Vale and we look forward to continuing to work closely with our partners giving our children an inspirational and inspiring learning experience.

The theme for today’s assembly was Internet safety. Safer Internet Day 2018 will be celebrated globally on Tuesday 6th February 2018 with the slogan “Create, Connect and Share Respect: A better internet starts with you”. It is really important to have a discussion with your family at home around internet safety. Further information is available at the following website:  where you will find additional resources and support.

We also have a ‘whisper’ link on the school website that allows you to report incidents anonymously.

From today, all cheques for breakfast club, after school club or dinners will need to be made payable to: Extend Learning Academies Network.

Foundation News – Children in Teal and Mallard class are invited to dress as their favourite computer game character on Tuesday 6th February as part of their technology week.

Did anyone see anything on the morning of Tuesday 30th January; unfortunately a car was damaged whilst parked on the corner of Kestrel Drive, just outside the foundation stage gate. If you think you may have any information please can you contact the school office. Thank you.
