At Mead Vale, we are very proud of our school uniform. It plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of our school and sets an appropriate tone for learning as we enjoy and achieve together. Hair should be its natural colour – bleached and dyed hair is not permitted
All styles should be neat and tidy with no drastic differences in length or texture and not sculptured in anyway
Any pupil with long hair, touching shoulders or longer, is required when in school, for safety reasons, to have their hair tied back. Hair should be tied back with basic accessories of school colours
Hair products are not permitted in school and we would ask that they are only used if really necessary, wet look products are not permitted
We ask that all parents/carers check their child’s hair for head lice at a minimum of twice a week, once at weekends and once midweek
